US-listed cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds recorded another strong session on July 30, with spot Bitcoin ETFs attracting more than $233 million in net inflows as institutional demand continued to recover after months of heavy redemptions. Spot Bitcoin ETFs posted $233.1 million in combined net inflows for the day, marking one of the strongest single-session performances in recent weeks. The gains were led by BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which brought in $183.4 million, accounting for nearly 79% of the day’s total inflows.

Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) added $15.5 million, while Bitwise’s BITB attracted $20.7 million. Ark 21Shares’ ARKB recorded $1.5 million in inflows, VanEck’s HODL added $2.3 million, Valkyrie’s BRRR received $7.4 million, and Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust contributed $2.3 million. Notably, Grayscale’s legacy GBTC recorded no net outflows, continuing a trend of stabilizing redemptions. The latest figures represent a sharp improvement from earlier in the week, when Bitcoin ETFs experienced mixed flows amid uncertainty surrounding Federal Reserve policy and broader macroeconomic conditions.

Bitcoin ETFs Reverse July Weakness

The strong inflows helped offset what has otherwise been one of the weakest months on record for US spot Bitcoin ETFs. According to market data, Bitcoin ETFs had accumulated only around $205 million in net inflows for July before the latest sessions, following substantial outflows of approximately $2.43 billion in May and $4.52 billion in June. The renewed institutional buying therefore represents an encouraging shift in sentiment, although year-to-date flows remain well below the levels seen during the products’ launch period.

BlackRock continued to dominate institutional allocations, reinforcing its position as the largest provider of spot Bitcoin ETF exposure in the United States. Since launch, IBIT has attracted more than $60.6 billion in cumulative net inflows, substantially outpacing every competing product. The latest buying also coincided with Bitcoin stabilizing after a volatile week that saw investors digest Federal Reserve policy decisions and mixed economic data.

Ethereum ETFs Extend Positive Momentum

Spot Ethereum ETFs also remained in positive territory, although inflows were more modest than Bitcoin’s. Ethereum products attracted $9.4 million in net inflows on July 30, extending their recent streak of positive institutional demand. While significantly smaller than Bitcoin’s daily total, the continued inflows suggest institutional investors remain willing to gradually increase exposure to Ethereum following several months of sustained selling pressure.

The divergence between Bitcoin and Ethereum has narrowed over recent weeks. Earlier in July, Ethereum ETFs consistently outperformed Bitcoin on a weekly basis, but Bitcoin has recently regained momentum as larger institutional investors returned to the market. ETF flows remain one of the most closely watched indicators of institutional demand because fund creations generally require issuers to acquire the underlying cryptocurrency in the spot market. Sustained inflows can therefore provide meaningful support for digital asset prices.

Although one day of strong buying does not establish a long-term trend, July 30’s figures indicate that institutional appetite for regulated crypto investment products remains resilient despite continued macroeconomic uncertainty. If positive flows continue into August, they could provide an important tailwind for both Bitcoin and the broader digital asset market.
